Metal fabrication shops in New Jersey

Amerigo sources metal fabrication from American job shops in New Jersey. Send a drawing or STEP file and we route it to a few New Jersey shops built for that work, along with strong-fit shops in neighboring states when they suit the part better. Each shop that quotes sends back its own name, price and ready date, and you pay one price through Amerigo.

Sourcing metal fabrication in New Jersey

Frame weldments, skids and guards in New Jersey come out of fabrication shops that grew up serving the state's process and packaging equipment builders, its contractors and its ports. Carbon steel and stainless are both routine, and sanitary stainless work is common because of pharma and food. Sourcing metal fabrication in New Jersey through Amerigo means one drawing goes to a few shops sized for the weldment, and each quotes it with its own name, price and ready date. Say where the assembly ships and how, so the quote can cover crating.

Questions buyers ask

Do you cover all of New Jersey?
Yes. We work with manufacturers across the state, and a strong-fit shop in another state can quote the same request when it is the right shop for the part.
Do these shops build complete fabrications, not just parts?
Many do: frame weldments, guards, panels and assembly on one order. If part of the job fits another shop better, we can route that part separately and tell you which shop makes what.
Who handles freight on a large weldment?
Unless the quote says otherwise, the goods are handed over at the manufacturer's dock (FCA, Incoterms 2020) and you arrange and pay freight on your own carrier account. A shop can ship on your behalf when its quote says so and at what cost. Amerigo does not book or pay for freight.
Can they weld stainless and aluminum?
Most fabrication shops weld carbon steel and stainless; fewer weld aluminum. Say which on the drawing and we route it to shops that do that work.
Do I need a weld spec?
Not to get a quote. Say whether the assembly is structural, food or pharma contact, or cosmetic, and the shop quotes a weld class that fits. If you have a spec, such as AWS D1.1 or a sanitary standard, put it on the drawing.
How long does a job take?
Each quote states the manufacturer's own lead time. It depends on the part, the material and the shop's load, so Amerigo does not publish a standard lead time. If you have a date you must hit, put it on the request.
