What Amerigo is

Amerigo is the sourcing network for American manufacturing. A buyer sends one drawing. We read it, route it to a few American manufacturers built for that work, and the quotes come back to one place, each naming the manufacturer, the price and the ready date. The buyer chooses, pays one price, and follows the order to delivery in the same thread.

Why we built it

Most custom parts in America are still bought through the inbox and the phone: a print emailed to a dozen manufacturers, calls to find open capacity, quotes that arrive in four formats, and dates that slip without warning. Online platforms made quoting faster by hiding the manufacturer, so the buyer never learns who made the part or whether it was made here.

Amerigo keeps the speed and puts the manufacturer back in the picture. Every quote names who would make your parts, and every manufacturer we route to works from its own American facility.

How we choose manufacturers

We do not list every manufacturer in America. We work with the ones an industrial buyer would actually send a print to: sheet metal, weldments and machined parts, made on their own U.S. floor. Each is checked against its own site, and before any of them quotes a job, we have talked to them, often in person.

As work runs, we will keep a record job by job: the dates promised against the dates delivered, and whether the parts came back right.

How we work

Amerigo acts as the manufacturer's limited agent. The manufacturer quotes and makes the parts; Amerigo sends its quote to the buyer and collects and holds the payment on its behalf, under terms both sides can read before they start. Amerigo holds the buyer's payment and releases it on the schedule in the Standard Terms of Sale: the deposit share when the manufacturer starts production, the rest once the parts are accepted.

Buyers pay the one price on the quote; Amerigo adds no charge of its own (freight is extra unless quoted, and sales tax is collected at checkout where required). Manufacturers pay Amerigo a commission on the work they win, and only on work they win.

Buyers pay by card or bank transfer. Card is accepted when the order subtotal, before freight and tax, is under $10,000; larger orders are paid by bank transfer.

Who it is for

Buyers: OEMs, machine builders, hardware companies, maintenance and plant teams, and any business that needs custom metal parts made to a drawing.

Manufacturers: American manufacturers that do excellent sheet metal, welding and machining work and want more of the jobs that fit them, without chasing every RFQ that does not.
