Maverick Machine Co. is a boutique, engineering-led precision CNC shop in Tamaqua, PA, founded in 2011 and owned and operated by mechanical engineer CJ Rohde. It is purpose-built for the domestic unmanned aerial systems (UAS / drone) and defense industries, machining complex aluminum components — motor mounts, gimbal housings, payload bays, and structural airframe parts — with engineering judgment built in (catching design issues before cutting chips, saving time, material, and iteration cycles). High-speed machining on a Datron NEO (40,000 RPM spindle) and a Haas VF-2SS YT vertical mill, plus in-house 3D printing (SLA prototyping), finishing (anodizing, black oxide, laser marking/serialization, tumbling), and value-added assembly. ISO 9001:2015 certified, ITAR / EAR compliant, CMMC / JCP certified, CAGE-coded, and SAM / USFCR verified; AS9100 in progress. Speed-to-market, an engineering-first approach, and domestic, certified supply are the core promise.
